Emperor's Children Chaos Space Marines

Today, I'm keeping the conversions coming with this old school style squad converted with Khorne Berserker parts and a whole lotta love. There is a huge quantity of hand sculpted detail on these, from the loin cloths to the additional filigree and custom heads.

Again, these guys date back several years, but other than the slightly lackluster bases, there're still as hot as ever. They have seen the battlefield quite a lot too over the years, but haven't been too competitive for a while. I'm hoping that with the change to 8th, they might be a bit more effective. There is a full set of 10 of them too, so there should be plenty to check out in the pictures.

What do you think? Should Games Workshop be releasing a Slaanesh plastic kit like this?

  1. I'm enjoying these articles.

The squad looks great. The colors, the conversions, and sculpting all comes together very well.

The only reason I haven't run Emperor's Children for my CSM is the lack of kit. As soon as they put out a nice shiny plastic kit, I'm all over it.

    1. A new kit would be amazing. Speaking of, I was just down at my local store at lunch today, and I had the new plague marines and starter set in my hands. The minis look really nice. I just wish they were Slaanesh!

  2. They are looking very well. Regarding the based you could change them up to 32mm and play around then to match.

    1. After basing up the whole force on the smaller original bases, I'm loath to start changing them as I'd end up doing the lot. I might just give them a goodly coat with snow and call it a day, as it'll cover up the dodgy sculpted rocks, and I like the look of Valhallan Blizzard.
